I notice that the four of those stocks I hold are up today over Jan 2. I was amazed.

There was one other big factor that came into play on 1/3/01 and that was the surprise (?) Fed cut in FF rate by 50 basis points and the discount rate by 25 basis points.

How much of the $10/share jump in AMAT, etc do you think was due to the Fed's action?
