I think it is important that we do not challenge Al's original concept of a weekly contest.

I like the simplicity of 1st mate's idea. What we would be looking for is the person who makes the one best pick of the year. If you pick a dog , tough ! But you still have the weekly contest for interest.

But let's hear other ideas before we decide.
