Did you ever here of the saying by one of our saner states and their motto "Live Free or
Die".

You apparently are unaware of the context of this quote. The residents of the "new country' had
lost their freedom to the coffers of the English King and this motto was a rallying cry of the American Revolution.

We are now at another crossroads in time where our freedoms are again threatened by a foreign enemy and we must rally, young and old , to preserve our way of life. Today, as during the Revolution, we have a volunteer military service and they will do their duty. That slogan is as valid today as it was 225 years ago.

*********************************************************

Pre-Sept 11 the USA could have had the prophetic motto "Live foolishly free and some will die".
