we haven't had a good VIX discussion in awhile my friend. looks like the new range has it trading down to 22. This would support my view that portfolio managers and funds will run equities to the end of the year. i'm interested in where the p/c ratio opens on monday.

i'm gonna be legging into short positions on dec 28 and 31 and have a few rather frothy ones id'ed for a quick 2-3 day swoon to start the new year. plan to be out of my longs at that point...except maybe AMZN b/c bidbuster get's so riled up about it -BG-

Many thanks for the comments.

Long ago, I learned that CEOs and CFOs are about the worst possible source of data about the economy, the state of their niche or even the current shape of their firm's business. There are reasons for this. They are ill-informed as a result of listening to and believing the dreams of their marketing guys, they are well-trained liars, or they still have some stock options to exercise and sell. (g)

And some of them, such as Louis, are truly brilliant crooks. (NG)

Best, Earlie
