Yes but history also shows some cultures are still more barbaric then others, as the follow the maturing process. The ME is still in the dark ages that CHINA,JAPAN and Europe went through 800 or more years earlier. I always wondered how the Europeans were able to yoke themselves into such a position as they were in the Dark ages. Yet the ARAB world has all the same similarities. Oppresive religion, Autocratic nobility, terrible want and need. ALL THE SAME symptoms that kept Europe down until the religious yoke, then the class yoke was finally broken. The west needs to do what we did with Russia and China by helping these countries prosper(ie like Mexico) to encourage them with the carrot. I think we need to allow the people to overthrow regimes like the Saudi Royal's and let them develop true democracy's. Say what you want about IRAN, but they are slowly (very)moving to the middle and Egypt is one of the more moderate ARAB STATES.
