I guess I was unclear. It is my belief that a major factor in the extraordinary population explosion of Arabs in British Palestine was the Jewish influence which supported livestyles unavailable to Arabs elsewhere in the Middle East. As such, the absence of Jews, will ruin the standard of living in the region and both the population and most assuredly the standard of living for Arabs will begin to mirror the standards of living in Syria, Jordan, and Egypt.

My point is to remind those of Asso's and "Sole Man's" ilk that the elimination of Israel will not lead to anything but a pox on all, the solution that would make sense is one in which Israel would be encouraged to evolve and develop and in the process share its advancements with its neighbors. This is what happened during the period from the tail end of the 1890's through 1948 in the British areas, and to the Arab population who stayed inside the Green line post 1948. The Arab population of Israel has more disposable income and higher degree of freedom than any of there peers who are not members of a royal family.
