- my favorite utility/energy company continues tanking with the sector

- on 12/6/01, PPL said "we are reaffirming our earnings forecast in excess of $4.00 per share for 2001. This would be the highest annual earnings in the company's history. For 2002, PPL continues to forecast little, if any, change in that level of earnings per share."

- despite earnings of $4+ for this year & next, $15 book value, & captive markets, stock keeps going down. Now at $33.50. Very cheap.
