Yes, "Solon's" nationality becomes a puzzle wrapped in an enigma,,,

Karen clearly implied that he is Canadian. Karen has a reputation for accuracy. Yet, "Solon" makes many statements such as, "We chose to kill them indiscriminately." Moreover, "Solon" has pointed out that he has apologized for "the entire nation" for the atomic bombings. Such statements would clearly imply that "Solon" is a American citizen. Hmmmm ... I don't think he said specifically that he was apologizing for the United States. But what good would it do to apologize on behalf of Canada? (or Costa Rica? or ???) That wouldn't make much sense.

As you say, Chris, if "Solon" has been speaking on behalf of Canada, it puts the whole matter in a more intriguing light, as to motivation.

Maybe we will be hearing from "Solon" himself on this matter soon. In fact, I guarantee we will. At agonizing, torturous length.

While we await, with baited breath ... I would like to wish you and your family a most joyous Christmas and Happy NewYear!

JC

constituting the lone obnoxious Canadian in the world
LOL!!! I hadn't thought of that before. Actually, there must be one or two others; we just haven't encountered them yet.

I seem to recall that Canadian troops were involved in the Pacific war. And if not, they would have been once Germany surrendered. Britain (with whom they had a mutual defense treaty) was also at war with Japan.

You forget, that if Solon is indeed Canadian (constituting the lone obnoxious Canadian in the world)

A country without lawyers would surely be something to wonder at, all right ;-)
