Saskatoon berry season is mid-July. This place might ship pie filling - saskatoonberry.com Unfortunately the best pies come from a place called Sweet Pea's and they don't ship. Sweet Pea charges $5 for a big Saskatoon Berry pie which is the equivalent of about $2.75 U.S. Saskatoon pie is my favorite breakfast food especially when hung over.

I almost forgot to mention these multi-ethnic guys.

"I'm struggling to remember the name of one of the movies. Perhaps as a Saskatoonphile you'll know. It was about a banker in a derelict town somewhere near Saskatoon and a woman whose sports car broke down in the town. do you know it?"

I think I know the movie you mention. I saw it on CBC which plays a lot of Canadian content late at night. Let me know if you find it, the following links may help.

I like it here. Many think of Saskatchewan as the East Germany of Western Canada. We're as big as Texas and have a government more corrupt than Brazil. Uranium, diamonds, potash, grain, cattle and oil, we got it all, and we're ready to cut long term deals for U.S. dollars deposited to our offshore accounts.
