Profiling is exactly what I had in mind. In the end Clausewitz rules in this area as we will no doubt re-discover even of at the cost of a lot more lives.

I think you need to change the conventional meaning of the word profile if you want it to mean banning Muslims from airplanes.

If you want to be a civilized democracy there is a price to be paid. I think you could equally cite Stalin or Hitler as Clausewitz for your arguments.
