Dataquest No.'s do not lie, so I'll stick with the reason I posted the article.

Now you're dodging reality. INTC losing marketshare.

Care to talk about Itanic too?

Yo Monica, here's what AMD said in the Q4 2000 press release: "AMD gained market share in the PC processor arena, with more than 26.5 million total units sold in 2000." So if AMD sells 30 million in 2001, that is only a 13% sales gain. So the report about 40% sales gain is wrong, or AMD will sell more than 30 million units. So good for you for pointing this out.

OTOH, could you relax a little bit? You sound like a robot at times and use of the negative term "whining", just turns people off. I think you will be more effective if you adopt a more cheerful style.

Believe me, there are plenty of readers that want the truth, not just pro-AMD hype.

Monica Re..So changing the subject is your way of dodging the issue of erroneous and false information?
I suppose you already tired of your own whining about "ship"' and "sales" numbers?
Monica <<<<<<<<

The problem is you and Milo (and dataquest) are talking about two different things. AMD could have easily increase market share by 40%, while increasing sales by only 13%, because the total market shrank, while AMD increased their sales. And Intc. could easily also had increased their total CPU sales if Intc. included Xbox sales into their version of CPU sales. That is why there is the confusion.
