Gus, you are not only terrible in politics, but you are even worse in fiction...Now think, how many crew members are on jumbo jet? How many passengers (not counting wimps like you) 5 Arabs armed with knifes?...Also do you have any idea how difficult it is to navigate jumbo jet?

PS Stick to Anthrax

PSS Merry Christmas to you and yours

who cares about the thermodynamics of the blast?!?

Thermodynamics are very important if your intention is to do as much damage as possible. This is an obvious point.

Do you seriously think that the whole chain of ensuing events would have developed differently if the towers didn't collapse?

Ensuing chains of events are difficult to predict (why I'm not rich - yet) - I'm confident the planners of 9/11 didn't foresee anything like what has happened. While they knew some sort of military response would come - could they have known how effective and crushing that response would be - particularly based on past events? Of course not.

because they had to embark the plane WITHOUT FIREARMS!!

Firearms aren't necessary to hijack planes. Many things, some of them not readily apparent, can be used as weapons. In addition, hijacking could be done with no actual weapons at all - by bluffing. Would a pilot bet hundreds of lives that a suitcase/backpack/etc. doesn't contain a bomb? What you couldn't get a trained pilot to do by either bluffing or threat is to fly his plane into a building.

It's hard to come up with any logical way 3 planes could be flown into a building at all - other than that the planes had been seized by persons intent upon suicide and mass homicide.

Gus, you have been playing too many videogames.
Take a globe for a change and look at the Paris LA route... NY is not, I repeat, not is Alaska.
Happy Aid el Kebir, el Fitr, if you are a Muslem, merry Xmas, if Christian, and happy Hanuka if Jew... but damnit, learn to navigate before you tell us routes theories, however smokey they are.

You didn't attend my first lessons, did you? DUNCE! Of course, flight training was mandatory for the hijackers because they had to embark the plane WITHOUT FIREARMS!! That way there was just nothing for airport security to prevent them from getting on board... However, it changes the hijack's modus operandi into a whole'nother ball game. Indeed, how do you force both the pilot and the co-pilot to obey your orders if you don't scare them in the first place?

Very easily Gus. Air crew have been instructed over the past 30 years to COOPERATE with hijackers, to ostensibly prevent loss of life resulting from resistance. Strap a phony bomb around your torso, cry "take me to Havana" and away you go. There's no need for firearms. Boxcutters do quite nicely, after all.
