Elmer, very good question. AMD is gunning for a new market segment. They have nothing to worry about with the hammer. Worst case is that it's delegated to the desktop so that's where AMD stays. Best case is that it's slowly adopted to workstation and some small servers which is a brand new market segment for AMD. What do you think? C p.s. The reason the droids are putting down the Itanium is reactionary to the hyping it gets from the 'bees. It all has to balance out somehow.
