Re: You are taking an obviously wrong assertion

Once company spent $2.3 Billion in 3 years on FABs and was able to increase production from 12% of the market to 23% of the market (maybe more).

The other company spent $20 Billion in 3 years on FABs and has seen its market share slip from 85% to 72% - capacity limited.

Next year both companies will have more capacity than this year. The move to .13 will increase AMD's capacity by about 50% and the combination of .13 and 300mm will increase capacity by about 100% for Intel.

At the same time, firming memory and disk prices will be raising total system costs and putting pressure on margins and total demand.

AMD's low cost structure may let it make money in this environment, but Intel looks like it is in serious trouble.

No. You are taking an obviously wrong assertion, ignoring it, then running your tapes over and over to justify your fantasies."

Do you disbelieve that AMD will ship 30 million units in FY01 and capture at least 40% of the Japanese market??? That's the reality...You seem to be trying to create a fantasy!!!
