I am very happy with my Dell desktop machine, with Windows 2000. Having had it apart to transfer one of the hard disks from my old machine, it seems very well designed.

Recently I saw a Sony VIO computer for sale for about $1,100.00. Basically this is the same computer that I bought a year ago for $3,800.00. (I’m still using and will for sometime.)

It looks like the prices of these computers have fairly matched the price of the stock.

Computer from $3,800.00 to $1,100.00 or about 1/3.

Amat from $112 to $40.00 about 1/3.

So, if AMAT goes to $100.00, then my next computer should cost me about $3,000.00.

Wow what will that buy ??

Good Luck.

Stan

I love Dell desktops, but have heard not-so-great things about their laptop reliability. I've only used Toshiba laptops--which I've had great luck with--so don't have direct experience with Dell.
