Resellerratings is useful, but one has to realize that it can easily be turned into a complainers' forum. If you just look at the ratings, and like you said, only if there are lots of them, you can get an idea about the customer service quality.

I stopped reading the reviews when I found a company that you would think from its rating and the reviews would be among the worst. Instead they had given me excellent service on a return where I had ordered the wrong product. I came to the conclusion that most satisfied customers don't write reviews, or even bother to rate the vendor they used.

If I were to use reseller ratings again, I would only use it to look for red flags. That is very bad ratings and lots of them. That way I can still reap the benefits of a large pool of competitive vendors.
