you said you are so-cal. Are you talking about stocks on canadian exchanges or us?

i know canadian are 3 days to settlement... in which case the day has passed

i was under the impression that the us exchanges are next day or same day.

that being said, my original question was if one can sell his or her NT shares... purchased on the tse, on the NYSE and therefore get the settlement date before the deadline.

i can't give you much more on this, but seriously. Call your broker. I came here with uncertainty and asked the question.the stress is no good in the holiday. either you missed it or you didn't... can't change it now.

try not to worry too much cowboy. we always survive these moments... it's best to be thankful for things this times of the year. could be much worse... as we have seen in recent months.
