TGPTNDR: The P4 is not doing so good 'cause they have a supply problem. That means inventories are low and those weren't really P4s sitting on the shelves.

I don't know what you saw but it wasn't shelves full of P4s.

This "P4 supply problem" does seem a bit odd. Certainly, supply seems just fine in the US&#133 An analyst report today (the "Samsung considering AMD" one) commented that supply was an issue in South Korea and mumbled something about chipsets having part of the blame. In any event, perhaps this "supply problem" is more geographic in nature - it certainly wouldn't be the first time. E.g. mobile Athlon4s have been in&#133 ahhem&#133 "rather" tight supply in Europe (until very recently, at the very least).
