your claims remind me of those that were calling for a paper free world some ten to fifteen years ago.

If I want electric power in my home as I build another story to my house, I actually have to use a metal to carry that power. It's called copper. If I want water in that upstairs bathroom I actually need pipes. Now I could use plastic but for longevity and health give me copper. Now in my roads and house platforms I do use concrete but there is steel for strength and I believe that's a metal too. Now when new bridges are built are they plastic or steel?
Afghanistan is about to be rebuilt. Will they use your newfangled composites or will they use steel, copper, zinc etc? What will they use in the batteries of the trucks, yeah Lead Acid batteries, that's what.

<<Wood consumption will fall to 1/100 of the what we use now. >>

You claim this as did many before you, but wood usage has increased over the last 50 years & 100 years. People today still enjoy the touch, feel, & beauty of quality woods in the same way they demand high quality masonry products & work.

What ever happened to all the smart people who were touting the so called "NEW ECONOMY STOCKS"? About 2 years ago most new investor's were convinced the only thing to buy was the new economy stocks!

Last time I looked, most of those pieces of $hit were either bankrupt, or down nearly 95%. Then a year later they were changing their tunes to "buy the old economy stocks".

Check the credibility of the people who tell you metals won't be used in the 21st century. Matter of fact, ask them to shake their heads, and what will you hear? Mostly marbles shaking! There sure are a lot of gulable people out there!

Reading the garbage you print leads me to believe the bottom is in for metals. Is there a major metals rally readying itself for 2002? I suppose they will stop using metal in car construction. No more lead pencils? Stop using Aluminum cans? Probably even have to stop using Zinc in pennies?
