The reporting of YHOO, AOL and MSN sales is a joke. Most of these guys don't really make any money on any of the sales, they make some sort of flat fee from the merchants who use the electronic mall as rent (a la brick mall owners making money from retailers who rent). The sales presumably make retailers feel like continuing to rent the space and maybe some more will pile on. But to the bottom line of msft/aol, this is pittance. For yhoo, it may be something since it is a real small fry when it comes to making money...
