I thought you had made up monoglot, but by golly, not. It's a real word.

SYLLABICATION:
mon·o·glot
PRONUNCIATION:
mn-glt
NOUN:
A person who knows only one language.
ADJECTIVE:
Knowing only one language; monolingual.

But I'm not sure medications could be considered monoglot. Nor are we sure that those who shipped them are monoglot rather than being polyglot but only writing the label in the one language.

But nitpicking aside, your point is well taken.

And on a more serious side, when we look at the Quebec problem (or issue if you want to be more PC about it), I have enormous worries that the same thing will happen (already is happening?) in parts of the US, especially with Spanish.

The idea of producing official voter pamphlets and ballots in multiple languages deeply concerns me. If people can't read the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence, and the laws, how can we expect them to be informed and responsible voters?
