Have you been following the discussion?

What you're suggesting is nothing even remotely close to what I have said.

This whole thing started with kholt posting an article on the Canadian-US border issue, and my responding to her about our recognizing the problem intimately up here.

We were wondering how Canada would address its immigration issues, and we agreed that "we have very different constitutions and cultures where immigration issues are concerned. " Message 16831734

I then posted "I fear that the US will try to be bossy and demand that Canada change its
laws to suit our preferences. Not a good way to be a neighbor, but very much
our practice, at least in the past. "

At which point jla jumped in and accused me of demolib pinhead ideas.

So let's first see where you are on the point under discussion. How do you respond to my point about the US being bossy and demanding that other countries change their laws to suit our preferences?

Think free trade, think democratic elections, think labor policies . . .
