The problem is with the view that there is something "wrong" with us using "force", (economic, military or political) to impose, or coerce acceptance of, our views (freedom, democracy, capitalism) on those who might prefer communism, oppression, etc. That somehow there is no difference between insisting on policies which benefit our democratic principles and our country and being willing to fight to see them maintained or expanded and insisting on the opposite. Its a very naive view of the world and VERY DANGEROUS in a world with OBLs, Saddams and the like.

The problem is when we do the same thing we opposed others doing.

We were right to oppose the communist countries doing this.

We are wrong to do it ourselves.
