As much BS as the retail stuff today -- retail sucked this year --Christmas season was terrible for retailers, with the possible exception of the BBY's.

Give 'em a couple of weeks at most before nobody buys that load of carp -- probably happen with the next serious round of layoffs ...

Jan effect could be muted this year as bonuses are down, 401K matches are down in some big companies and less enthusiasm over the stock market among the public.

The Dec santa claus nonsense seems to work every year.
