Gilbert - What is your solution, a communist system ? Solution to what? I didn't claim that there was a problem. The minority of business investments that are successful may well be so profitable that they more than overcome all of the failures, but the returns often differentially go to the successful investors, who are then allowed to invest again, while the losers become employees or welfare recipients. Every investment that is a 100% loss can be compensated for by a single investment of the same size that doubles. An investment that only doubles over its life is pretty small potatoes. Most people that become rich through investment do so as the result of a single enormously profitable investment that outweighs dozens of other mediocre or horrendous investments. Regards, Don
