For me, the equation should be:

Benefits to doing business with Cuba must be greater than the Costs with doing business with Cuba. Not all benefits and costs will be measurable with dollars.

I consider the issue to be morally neutral beyond that.

I'm arguing what's right, especially for a country which has at times claimed a certain moral superiority to other countries.

How is the embargo "wrong"......????

The problem with the embargo is not that it is wrong. We have adequate cause to impose it, and it does not impose harsh conditions on the average Cuban, since other countries still trade with Cuba. The problem with the embargo is that it is ineffectual, a mere gesture. It creates the illusion that we are doing something, while allowing the regime to posture about its defiance. We have had various pretexts over the years to end it once and for all. Probably, our best bet was after the Mariel boatlift, when Castro created a massive refugee problem, and emptied out his jails to unload his criminals on us. The Reagan Administration was building a case against Cuba, both for supporting revolution in other countries, and for its activities in the drug trade, but could not get the support necessary to finish the regime.......
