Well, if it helps, I found CH's comment to be on par with the whole imaginary friend thing.

That is, if CH's comment about "help" was to indicate helping toward becoming a Christian.

If I am having a trouble in my life and a Christian friend of mine says "I will say a prayer for you", I have no problem with that....and actually appreciate the sentiment.

However, if a Christian (or any other religion) says "I will pray for you to find God", I would find that very patronizing, belittling or condescending...whatever word you want to use. Basically it shows a disrespect for my ability to develop my own rational belief system (I am not agnostic or atheist BTW). I believe that the "imaginary friend" thing also shows that same basic disrespect.

We've touched some nice points of understanding and agreement here. I suspect we would begin to diverge into a "you said or meant, bla bla bla...no I didn't, It was bla bla bla" forth and back argument beyond this.

Have Peace
