One can argue that at a time like now, talking like your SF friend did, may be akin to screaming "Fire" in a theater.

It isn't but, some people, probably including many patrons at the gym may see his speech very much like the word "Fire".

One can argue that those who called the FBI were just using their right to free speech as well. Once something is called into the FBI in the light of 9/11 don't they at least have to 'file a report'?

LOL! One big mouth got rattled when asked questions--- 'a normal American',, did not sound like it-- esp when the ACLU gets involved. As soon as that group of idiots is involved the 'normal' is in question. Besides, when they come in one wonders what the truth is...
