Tom, $360 million for dirt? Now I am definitely not ever doing my laundry again. <g> How did they run out of dirt in Atlanta?

However, the author misses the main thing Atlanta is noted for: Mike Burke's famous speech at The International Association of Financial Planners in 1985. It was a dandy. The audience was hanging on my every word, or shooting themselves if they didn't have access to a rope. <g> However, my speech in late 1986 at The Colorado Banking Convention was a winner, too. That's where I told the audience that bonds were dead for that particular cycle, with T-Bond yields at 7.25%. Then, Art Laffer, of The Laffer Curve notoriety, stood up and gave a speech where he said long bonds were going to 2%. Within 6 months, bonds were yielding 10%. And I had resigned because my bosses believed Laffer. <g>
