I bought QCOM recently at 62, Could give me your ideas on how I should protect and massage my positions with options and finally break even in a few months.
Does anybody think Q will warn before earnings? what is the downside then? what could be the upside in january? Thanx

To the boards credit, no one has taken this on, and yet I can't help but sympathize with such an open cry for...help? reassurance?

Subject 51101

The link above is to the covered call thread frequented by many here. It is not very active right now, but the people who read it are generally pretty knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

As far as the rest, I can really only say God only knows. I recently sold and bought back a QCOM call with a 65 strike (I think April) and today sold 3 April 50 puts, so I am, in effect, saying that I believe Qcom would be a good buy at $44 and an OK sell at $71, at least within the portion of my investments reserved for options. Of course this is just my totally uninformed opinion, and not that much different than what a quick glance at a chart might tell you.

Good luck
