Some interesting books I have ordered but haven't read yet:

Pakistan: Flawed Not Failed State, Dennis Kux

India: Old Civilization in a New World, Barbara Crossette

Humanity: A Moral History of the Twentieth Century, Jonathan Glover

I just finished
Taliban: Militant Islam, Oil and Fundamentalism in Central Asia. Ahmed Rashid I thought it was very interesting, but I have no way to assess its legitimacy.

I am very interested in reading more books on India and Pakistan, and on the Middle East. I want to read only balanced relatively objective books, if possible. Not a region that brings that out in people, I know- but if any of you have any books to recommend that you have read recently, or read reviews of that seemed good, I would love to write down your suggestions.
