Hmmm? Milan Panic? I became aware of ICN some 15 years ago and had this fuzzy idea about the tie to Yugoslavia and Panic. Fortunately for me I tossed the company aside as a potential investment and have not thought much about it for some time. But there is some board I visit which has a touter of this company and I had wondered whether this was the same outfit I had looked at so long ago. Now you bring it up. Milan. Isn't Puskar's first name Milan? Value Line just says M. Puskar but it would not take much for me to dig up an annual report. Still, if that is correct, it is not a common name to my way of thinking and I always wondered about a connection between Milan and Mylan. (PS. I just checked and Puskar's first name is Milan--I have no reference for Panic--wait, I do too. You are right according to VL. Milan Panic). I don't believe I've ever heard of a Milan before and here are two of them?
Now that I am retired my primary interest is in getting to know the management of companies. My gains on QCOM and LWIN came as a result of getting to know what kind of people their chairmen were--makes a huge difference. And conversely so many of the ILECs (incumbent local exchange carriers) have been retiring people who, without any experience with being the top man, suddenly start a company and are chairman. I learned it many years ago--I am a good number 2 man, but the top guy has to be a very different character from me.

best regards, Lance

Just climbed aboard today. Generics are in a boom period. Compared stats to other generics MYL looks like the best value. Per Smart Money article -New big drug coming this year is J&J's Duragesic pain patch.Could bring in an additional $300 Million in annual sales. Not bad considering 1.3Billion in sales last year.

Regards

Neil
