Joe; The Constitution of the United States of America is not worth the paper it's written on IF, God does not exist. Specifically the God of the Bible. If the USA disappeared from the face of the earth tomorrow, God would still be on His throne. History is going someplace and it's not going to be a constitutional democracy in the end. For now it may be the best we can do, but it also has many flaws, because it involves sinful and fallen human beings who will inevitably fail to do the right thing.

Speaking on behalf of Americans (ggg), Joe...

I think it also rests pretty heavily on the support, friendship, and bond of common interests we have with our fine neighbors to the north.
