Pete, There is another way to look at what whortso said. Suppose Intel decides to throw all defective chips and chips that can't reach 1.5 GHz to da dumpster. What's left may follow the distribution that whortso described. Joe

This is just more obfuscation. The point was you presented specific numbers for Intel's binsplits and I pointed out that I could pull numbers out of my ss just as easily as you can. There's no need to bring up some chalkboard statistical analysis of what you think binsplits are. That's just theory and silicon does what it wants to do. You can blow a smokescreen if you want but you're just pulling numbers out of your ss. Re: "If you drop your pants, the cops and the DA would definitely want to talk with you about indecent exposure.
