JLA, I agree with that characterization in Solon's case.

I think in attacking me and our country, and all Americans indirectly, he was obliged to make sure that we understood that he was speaking as a foreign national. Not only did he not do that, but his liberal use of "we's" clearly implied that he was a fellow citizen of the U.S.A. While some here knew his nationality, it became clear that others here did not. Yes, I'm comfortable with viewing that as dishonest.

The more general question of whether any of us should ever seek to "shame" people of another nationality is a considerably more important issue.
