OT- Laptops: Gottfried, I am very happy with my Dell Inspiron 5000 notebook. I did have to send it back once though because something on the motherboard went out. Also one of the keys pops off every now and then and I just pop it back on. The new Dell notebooks have a pointer-stick in the keyboard, which I really do not like. I find that I hit those things when typing and even though you can turn them off, I still dislike having something that resembles an eraser in the middle of the keyboard. I hope Dell stops going with the pointer-stick plus touchpad for laptops (vs. just one or the other, depending on preference). I wonder if others share this view, and if most prefer the touch pads, as I do.
