George Soros Cuts ViroPharma Stake To 4.6% From 8.58%

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- A group including George Soros cut its stake in ViroPharma Inc. (VPHM) to 4.6%, according to an amended Schedule 13D filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The group beneficially owns 1.1 million common shares. It sold 251,000 shares in the open market between Feb. 11 and March 5 for $17 to $19.88 a share.

On Dec. 27, 2001 , the group reported an 8.6% stake.

ViroPharma is a development-stage pharmaceutical company in Exton, Pa.
