Talk about freaking one sided. I live in Washington State and I have little if any representation. Public Universities that are extremely expensive. My son's girlfriend wants an education so badly yet she is finding it harder and harder to afford. She doesn't qualify for loans because her school teacher mother and accountant father make too much money. The road system is out of date, gridlocked during commutes, totally inadequate despite one of the highest fuel taxes in the country. The people are angry as hell about that one. Commrade Locke just proposed even higher fuel taxes.

You think that is wonderful!

"We have the highest unemployment rate in the country right now"

Thanks for bringing up another "benefit" of liberal politics. I do business in Washington and have to say that it used to be a pretty cool place. Getting dirtier by the day. I wonder why being dirty is considered to be cool there. Not sure if it is related to the politics, but it sure is unsightly. My guess is that the grunge crowd is mostly democratic. Republicans like to clean themselves.

"I like all the west coast states because of their liberal politics"

I like them for their natural beauty. As you and I have hilighted, liberal politics are RUINING these awesome states. As the taxpayers exit and the tax recipients enter that decline will continue. My solution has been to buy some of the natural beauty and LOWER my tax base. Don't like what the money is spent on.

We have the highest unemployment rate in the country right now.
You think there might be a connection between that and liberalism maybe?
(1 )The money for liberal social policies has to come from somewhere. Generally, one way or another, business
pays. That lead businesses to move to states with lower tax rates.
(2) Those wonderful liberal social programs attract people who are unable or unwilling to work. So you end up with
lots of unemployables.
