UF, <You got out of it without answering their question > I think Jon's offspring would have made the deductive [or inductive, whichever it is] leap from confirmation that he went head first to the answer to the question he asked. Sometimes it's more polite not to directly confirm opinions of obviously problematic parents. They probably already knew the answer to their question from previous experiences. For example, hissing at the Cingular ads on tv would give them a clue.

PS: I am happy to report huge advertising of Telecom's CDMA network in Hobbitland and the Telecom shops have nearly all CDMA phones. No analogue sales from what I can see. Still a few TDMA phones. They are selling heaps and have many models for sale now. About 10. 1xRTT still not ready to rumble. They tell me it'll be about February [1xRTT was supposed to be ready in November this year, when they launched CDMA in August].
