Hi Mike, I hope that you had a Happy New Year and pray
that you, Brain and your families will have a healthy and
Spiritually rewarding new year.

don't know why i always look for these crazy plays.

It must be your strong contrarian bent -g- but that's cool
I have a bit of one too. I'd like to point out that your
idea last spring of creating a yield/total return
investment of buying F common and writing a Jan 2003 leap
call could still work out. Even with Ford falling from
24 to 15 during August and Sept.

It could still rebound to the 24 area.
Additionally the opportunity to buy back the original leap
at a big discount was there, and then you could either
stay long F or write another at the money or out of the
money call, pick up more call premium and also get some
dividend yield.

So there is a bit more flexibility than some might think.

Take care,

John
