I would definitely separate them! LOL..........Many years ago, while on the east coast, I worked with a Scot from Glasgow. His wife became a great friend of mine at the time and even visited me here in Ca. ( after she divorced her philandering husband and was returned to Scotland because her visa status changed as a result of her divorce. Her Mom was from Ireland and I will always remember how they said good bye...........with a water glass full of straight Scotch.........no ice and no water!! There were several scientists at that research institute who spoke with English accents. The director was from Australia and manager was from Scotland so we had quite a contingency from those parts of the world. Pat
