I made no statement about amd's profitability but rather the effect of the competition on intel's profits. We all know that amd lost money last quarter. What we do not know is the extend of the damage to intel.
As far as future goes then everything we say is expectations which are based on current experience. If you separate them then expectations would have little basis, no?
