Paul, I think the shadow above on the NDX candle is too short, and the body too wide to be a gravestone doji. I believe it is a shooting star.

We've had an inverted hammer (reversal), spinning top (indecision), and a shooting star (reversal) all after those 2-days of Harami Crosses (reversal). Those were after the big red candle. At first glance, it seems to add up to a whole lot of nothing, which is what we've had recently.

What do I make of this? Well, I think it is significant that the shooting star is the only one that formed above the big red candle. That could indicate the resistance above the 200-day SMA is formidable, and we may need to consolidate a bit more before a short covering rally can take us above it or a big failure takes us down for good.

I guess I'm waffling just like the sticks <G>.
