Ish, while searching today, re: Case against OBL found this from students of EIU, dated November 2001....

Looks like most citizens and governments worldwide have been either ignoring or helping Al Qaeda (and related groups) for many years....

This is only a partial list....but the entire list is worth seeing....

tml Many Central Asian governments are becoming more and more worried
everyday about Islamic militancy, and are blaming the Taliban. Bin Laden is
under a lot of pressure from the Taliban, but he stated that he would rather
quit Afghanistan than give up his war against the West. The Kremlin claimed
this spring to have evidence that bin Laden and the Taliban had a deal to
aid Chechen units. Bin Laden's welcome in Afghanistan is wearing thin, and a
new order was released banning all of bin Laden's operations. Bin Laden
said, "I want to leave Afghanistan for another country, but you must agree
not to tell where I am going." The latest news, according to this article,
is that bin Laden had money transferred to finance the defense of 28 Arabs
being tried on suspicion. They also have more proof because bin Laden sent
fighters to Chechnya. Annotation: MLG. L: MLG.

Since September 11, many people all over the world have been arrested and
some have been linked to bin Laden. There is some evidence pointing to bin
Laden, including money transfers and an intercepted the day before Sep. 11.
Still all the evidence is circumstantial at the best. Bin Laden will not
have a trial. The evidence will just prove to other countries his
involvement. The article also says that the U.S. cannot reveal all the
evidence to the public yet, either. Annotation: LAP. L: LAP.

the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center Buildings. Describes
actions of Mostafa Mohammed Ahmad, Khaled al-Midhar, and Nawaq al-Hamzi,
members of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Tells us about intercepted phone
calls through satellite from bin Laden to U.S. Arguments that the most
recent attacks are clearly linked to the previous attacks. States that the
eveidence is circumstantial and there is no direct eveidence and the only
way to believe it is bin Laden is because of his earlier terrorist attacks.
