I was just talking with someone about tivo today. I was surprised a the low mkt cap. Since xmsr and siri are doing so well it might be worth a speculation. But what about their financials, can they ever be profitable?

Tivo is currently pulling in a significant number of subscribers through its product offering (DirecTivo) with DirecTV. Are you worried that this deal will eventually be canned if Echostar Dish Network succeeds with their buyout of DirecTV? The CEO of Dish has a history of going with his own receivers, and is currently developing a very similar unit to the DirecTivo that would not require the end user to pay an extra monthly fee. I'd have to say that I'm worried in general that this "monthly fee for PVR services" will likely go out the window as PVRs without such fees become more widespread.

So could UTSI and XMSR. A friend of mine told me that
china has more wireless subscribers than land line. UTSI is
a direct play on that.

Thanks
