Yes Lee, I too had quite a chuckle over that news article. 7K among 500K. Air cover-- what will they cover? The only thing that could be of value is if they would drop a few news choppers,,,;-]

More on Times Square Security.... There will be 20,000 barricades, with policed manned entrances on every block where all entering will be screened with metal detector wands. It as being promoted on TV as "the safest place to be", they've repeated that more than once.
