layoffs a lagging indicator?
Hmmm...problem is when you are layed off you cannot spend, and you take from the system which is already once again debt ridden. Our wonderful spikes up in the late 90's was due to high employment, spending and a "surplus" (a lie really because the "surplus" was created by adding in social security money but now even that does not help stop a deficit.)
So I don't know.
But some stocks will go up...maybe casinos...ally, mntg, penn?
Maybe defense...lmt, cdcy, ah?
I'm not sure that there is money "on the sidelines waiting to come in" There are a LOT of people scared of stocks now.
But we will see.
There is money to be made...you have proven this year that there always is!
Happy New Year and prosperity and joy to all of us.
