Additionally, and as a corollary to my previous theorem, and occasioned by, of all things, zofsilences' observations, it is to be noted that as all these Junk offerings fade, even though current public sentiment protects these vicious perveracatuers against law suits, the money, which has a brain of its own (thank God), finds its way to the stock of companies who generate cash, whether or not that cash is credited to "earnings" and hence "p/e" ratios or reinvested in company assets, through accounting ledgerdemain.

This, of course, is what Warren Buffett keeps trying to explain to his shareholders.

The other alternatives to the increase in the stock price, simply go "pooof" and the stock goes up as if by magic, and hence you are looking at the wrong end of the donkey, so to speak, it is the company activities which affect the value and hence the "p/e" ratio, not the extrapolation of the pe ratio to determine the future of the company, if ya catch my drift.
