I would be a bit more optimistic the E stayed static while the P went down. The PE ratios are looking just as bad as before. And my understanding of corporate and personal debt is that they have not gone down yet, and as we have discussed, until this happens, a recovery really isn't in the cards.

The good news is that I am probably a contrary indicator.

Levy Institute called 10 of the last 3 bear markets...
In Sept of 99 they tought the DOW would see 7K before 10K and the NAZ would see 800 before 3K..
Trust me I know them well...very smart people economists but timing sometimes wrong...<ggg>
