Dumbest, don't know, but serious, yes.

Doesn't US have some kind of water tight law on the immunity of speaking this or that on
the congress floor?? (as well as rigid regulations on how the cameras feeding CSPAN are handled??)

Ilmarinen

Unluckily CLinton did not do it on the congressional floor??

Btw, CSPAN used to air some of the Knesset debates, have not seen any in a some time??

Simultaneous translation shouldn\t be such a problem as for some other productions of
other channels ( I always like to make the ABC and Rafsanjani point, even NPR use
the same methods, careful selection of that translation voice)

Much easier to have the newsanchor him or herself reading the translation (as CSPAN did), or
even better, take the additional half hour to produce the transcript, like some civilized nations
and news producers do. (like US for the Been Laiden home movie)

Btw, CSPAN took a new nose dive in handling cameras last week, that too is serious.

The Bishara indictment, imo, is one of the dumbest moves I've seen and I believe even the Israeli courts will reject it.

I dunno about that. Bishara didn't just speak for the resistance from the Knesset floor; he went to Syria and, at a memorial service for Hafez al Assad, called on Arab governments to aid the resistance and praised Hizbullah. Talk about aid and comfort to the enemy!
